Wandering Around La Mesa Watershed and Ecopark

Are you looking for a place where you can relax and bond with your family and friends? A place near enough and good enough for your precious time and budget? Try La Mesa Watershed and Ecopark, it's affordable and best of all, it's right within the city. La Mesa Watershed and Ecopark is an ecological recreation site located in East Fairview, Quezon City, just a few minutes away from the Quezon Memorial Circle and the Quezon City Hall.  It is part of the La Mesa Dam, a water reservoir and primary water source of the entire Metro Manila area.

La Mesa Ecopark is a good and affordable place for family picnics and outings.  It has several facilities for outdoor activities like swimming, boating, fishing and biking.  There is also a large picnic ground with small native nipa huts available for rent, where families can gather together just to relax and bond with each other.  It also has a two-hectare flower terraces, a butterfly hatchery and a surrounding forest where you can walk around, breathe fresh air and just enjoy the scenery.

La Mesa Ecopark is also a popular location for photo shoots, especially for engaged couple having their pre-nup photographs.  The park's landscape and scenic views provide for a good background on their photos.  And these landscape and scenic views also attract photographers and photo enthusiasts alike.  Even yours truly, a frustrated photographer, can't help but get her hands on her camera for a few clicks. Actually, it was  the main reason why we went here, to get our hands on my friend's newly-bought DSLR, to practice photography (feelingera lang..hehe!). But of course, even without taking photographs, going here and seeing the beauty of this place was an experience in itself.
